It’s time for our landowners to have first access to the much-anticipated launch of Matrix World!
It’s time to enter…
On June 25th, the Pioneers, also known as landowners, will have the privilege of being the first group of users to enter Matrix World, the first multichain metaverse that allows users to own land on their choice of blockchains, including Ethereum and Flow.
Since this is a beta release, this article will detail the experience users should expect on the launch day. In the lead-up to the release, we will be publishing a series of articles introducing various ‘how-to’ guides to get you familiar.
Avatar selection
Upon entering Matrix World, you’ll be presented with two avatar options. As discussed in “The Avatar Journey | Matrix World,” these avatars have been recently updated to be stylish, designed to attract a wide variety of users, and do not limit the possibilities within Matrix World. Plans to add additional avatars and wearables are already underway.
There will be three significant landmarks to visit, each displaying the exceptional work of our art and development team.
First, we have the Flow Headquarters, gleaming with the distinct Flow green — a testament to the architectural prowess of the team. Second, we have the Landing Scene, which represents the grand entrance of our users into this world.
Last, The Neighborhood provides an immersive experience with example buildings and skyscrapers set within a 10x10 plot of land. This site gives you a tangible understanding of the potential scope and possibilities when you become a landowner within Matrix World.
Upon launch, these landmarks will not be accessible internally. However, they effectively demonstrate the potential within Matrix World.
We encourage landowners to take the time to explore the world and discover any hidden easter eggs. The map will serve as the quickest method to teleport between locations.
Inside the world, and while navigating the user interface, you might notice some hints about our in-world resource, Lumens. Lumens will not be accessible at launch as the team prioritizes a stable launch, but they will be available soon after. Stay tuned for more information on Lumens in the following weeks.
Castle Build
The team is already working hard on the next build, titled our ‘Castle Build,’ with the aim of highlighting our unique instance functionality, and structures, providing users with mini-games, and improving player communication. Moving forward, we hope to release frequent builds and scale the user experience in a way that enhances user playability without compromise.
After the launch, we will be hosting live tours featuring various members of the Matrix World team. Stay tuned for more details in our Discord & Twitter.
We are eager to share time with our landowners' in-world and are excited for them to be among the first to experience the inception of something monumental.
